What can a patient expect when they have you as a doctor?

A patient can expect to be heard when they are seen in the clinic. I feel that is the single most important thing a provider can do is listen to their patient.

What is the most important factor in a doctor patient relationship and why?

Trust and honesty is paramount in the relationship. An open and honest dialogue is key to allow the relationship to be appropriate and maintained.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy when you're not working?

I am an avid college sports fan with a love for the Texas Longhorns, my alma mater. I also love all types of music and spending time with my family.

What about your line of work do you find the most rewarding and why?

I enjoy meeting new people from a variety of backgrounds and learning about their experiences, health perceptions and teaching them to be active in their care management.
