Diagnostic Imaging

Baptist Medical Group Outpatient Care Center offers a number of diagnostic services conveniently located and with easy-access parking. Appointments are available Monday through Friday for all diagnostic services, and walk-ins are welcome for routine X-rays. In addition to computerized tomography (CT Scan), X-Ray and ultrasound, Baptist Medical Group Outpatient Care Center also features an open bore magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system called the Siemens 1.5T Open-Bore MRI (shown above), to provide clear images of patients' internal organs.

As the first true 1.5T open bore MRI, it combines the fast, high-quality scans of a closed MRI with an open design that accommodates both larger and claustrophobic patients.

Baptist HealthScore Screening Center

We provide our patients early detection screening services that help identify vascular disease that can otherwise lead to stroke, heart disease–including abdominal aortic aneurysms–peripheral arterial disease and osteoporosis.

Skilled technicians can perform these tests in minutes and radiologists interpret the results within days. Your results can help you and your physician decide how you can take control of your health and reduce your risk of heart disease, stroke, peripheral arterial disease and osteoporosis.

Risk Factors and Symptoms

Anyone 40 and older with the following risk factors is an ideal candidate for these screenings. Risk factors include:

• Smoking
• Diabetes
• Hypertension
• Family History of Heart Disease or Stroke

Adult Outpatient Therapy

Baptist Medical Group-Outpatient Care Center is a multispecialty provider of physical, occupational and speech therapy services. We specialize in the treatment of operative and non-operative orthopedic and sports related conditions, impairments related to neurologic disease or injury, and secondary complications associated with cancer. Our therapists hold advanced certifications in orthopedics, sports medicine, neurologic rehabilitation, swallowing disorders, lymphedema, balance/vestibular rehabilitation and hand therapy and work together to provide the expert care needed to get you back on your feet.

Outpatient therapy includes a number of treatments and techniques designed to identify impairments, increase flexibility and strength, improve balance and stability, normalize posture, restore functional ability and relieve pain. Outpatient therapy services are available Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 901-757-3473.

Pediatric Outpatient Therapy

Baptist Medical Group-Outpatient Care Center offers comprehensive pediatric rehabilitation services for infants and children through age 18.

Our team of specialized pediatric therapists provide physical, occupational and speech/language therapy using a play-based approach.

Services available through the pediatric department at Baptist Medical Group-Outpatient Care Center include evaluation and intervention for infants and /or children with developmental delays; autism; Down syndrome; vestibular impairment; birth injury; oral, motor and feeding difficulties; orthopedic problems; handwriting difficulties; sensory processing problems; cerebral palsy; neurodevelopmental disorders; and other injuries.

Diabetes Education

At the Diabetes Education Center, located inside Baptist Medical Group-Outpatient Care Center, we want to give you the tools you need to live a healthier life. Our interdisciplinary team-including a registered nurse, registered dietitian, and a clinical pharmacist, will teach you how to manage your diabetes more effectively.

Our highly skilled care team helps you understand and manage diabetes. We provide:

• Nutrition counseling
• Glucose monitoring education
• Group or individual classes for healthy eating and other lifestyle modifications
• Pharmacy consultation for medications and insulin
• Ways to prevent complications
• Behavioral change strategy
• Goals for weight loss, nutrition, and lifestyle management
• Tips to help reduce risk factors
• Tips on community resources
• Monthly support group

Amputee Clinic

Baptist Medical Group-Outpatient Care Center is pleased to offer the first full-resource outpatient clinic dedicated to patients with amputations.

The clinic is open the second and fourth Fridays of every month and offers physician appointments, therapy and wound care assessments, prosthetic fittings and adjustments. Together the amputee clinic team develops a coordinated plan of care and road map for improved functionality and mobility.
