What can a patient expect when they have you as a doctor?

The patient can expect a very thorough, methodical approach to diagnosing their issues and devising a treatment plan to address them. The first visit is usually about an hour, where we will discuss in detail the history of their chief complaint and their daily habits. After the discussion, a comprehensive physical exam will provide observational and functional assessments in body movements. If areas of your body are found to need treatment, treatment expectations will be explained, and treatment may be provided at the first visit or postponed per your preference. Follow-up appointments will be made based on the your response to treatments. Typically, patients notice improvement after 2-3 visits, usually one or more weeks apart. Home exercises are also sometimes prescribed, as well as dietary changes if needed to help decrease a possible contribution to the your complaint.

What is the most important factor in a doctor patient relationship and why?

Teamwork is the most important factor in a doctor-patient relationship as we need to work together to discover the root cause to their complaint and to prevent the issue from reoccurring.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy when you're not working?

I enjoy spending time with my two huskies, Maine coon cat, and three rescue kitties, as well as camping, hiking, creating art and DIY projects. I also enjoy trail running, road races and ironman events.

What about your line of work do you find the most rewarding and why?

The most rewarding aspect of my line of work is the ability to help my patients understand their situation, to offer guidance on improving overall life, and to aid their body in healing with manipulation.
